Our Story Since 2014
The name Dilly has been part of my journey since 2014. Long before it became a studio or a brand, it reflected a deep and instinctive connection to jewellery, especially gemstones. From a young age, I was drawn to them, as if they carried stories waiting to be understood. In the early years, this interest expressed itself through discovering and sharing the work of others, learning from different cultures, materials, and traditions.
Over time, that curiosity expanded beyond objects alone. It became part of a broader path of self-development, of exploring new horizons, refining sensibilities, and listening more closely to what truly resonated with me. Jewellery gradually shifted from something I admired and curated to something I felt compelled to create with my own hands. This natural evolution led to Dilly Designs, a space where the work became more personal, intentional, and aligned with who I am.
As the work continued to grow, so did my relationship with materials. Alongside jewellery, I felt increasingly drawn to leather: its tactility, durability, and the way it carries the marks of time and use. This interest felt both intuitive and familiar. With roots in Türkiye, a land long known for its exceptional leather craftsmanship, this material had always been part of my cultural landscape.
Rather than reinterpreting leather under my own name, I chose to honour its origins. The leather pieces offered through Dilly Designs come from some of the most respected leather producers in Türkiye, workshops that continue to uphold traditional craftsmanship while embracing responsible, sustainable practices. These creations are brought to Switzerland under their original brands, allowing their identity, heritage, and values to remain intact.
Today, Dilly Designs remains intentionally small and independent. It is shaped by patience, curiosity, and respect for materials, for makers, and for the journey behind each piece. At its heart, it is an invitation to value craftsmanship that is honest, meaningful, and made to be appreciated in its own time.
